ADVANCE NOTICE – ANZGOSA 2008 ANNUAL
MEETING

REGISTRATIONS ARE NOW OPEN
ANZGOSA, with the support of COSA, presents a practical symposium for
surgeons managing gastric cancer:
Day 1 – Gastrectomy for Malignancy, Why, How & What Type?
- Is there a role for D2 gastrectomy for Gastric cancer in the West?
- How I do a D2 gastrectomy?
- Are we doing an adequate operation?
Leading Gastric Surgeons from Japan and the United Kingdom, and faculty from
Australia and New Zealand will address:
- Anatomy
- Pathology
- Resectional techniques for gastric tumours
- Complications
This symposium will be of value to all practising Upper Gastrointestinal
Surgeons, General Surgeons and Surgical Trainees. Video presentations, clinical
data, and ample time for interaction with the faculty will ensure that this
event should not be missed.

Day 2 – Joint meeting of ANZGOSA and COSA – this will address the current
state of the art for the management of Upper Gastrointestinal malignancy. COSA's
2008 Annual Scientific Meeting will also continue until 20 November, 2008 (www.cosa.org.au)
